Angkot fares up by 25% in Depok

Angkot fares up by 25% in Depok

esponding to the recent rise in fuel prices, the Depok administration has officially increased its angkot (public minivan) fares by 25 percent.

Depok Transportation Agency head Gandara Budiana said the new fare would be implemented as of Monday.

'€œWe'€™ve given flyers publicizing the new fares to all angkot drivers. We expect to see the flyers in all angkot so passengers are also informed,'€ Gandara said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Meanwhile, governor Basuki '€œAhok'€ Tjahaja Purnama was scheduled to sign a gubernatorial instruction on a rise in public transportation fares on Monday. The new fares will be implemented in the near future. (***)
