am writing to highlight the Internet's rarely discussed consequences, which are relevant to all Internet users.
My basis is Eli Pariser's theory, The Filter Bubble. It is about the personalization of the Internet, referring to the way search engines steer users to the results they think they want, which may not be those they actually want.
If a user clicks on gossip blogs more frequently than news portals, links to those blogs may be featured more prominently as their search engine results.
This can lead to people being 'trapped' within a certain type or quality of information without realizing and without having intended to.
