Sri threw away the pants Jessica wore on Jan. 6 at Olivier Cafe, Grand Indonesia where she shared a table with Wayan Mirna Salihin and another friend. Jessica was accused of putting cyanide into Mirna's drink; Mirna died on her way to hospital.
"We have been waiting for the prosecutors to bring Sri to court. We assume if Sri appears in court, it will be proven that there was no cyanide in the pockets of Jessica's pants," Otto said before the judges.
During interrogation, Jakarta general crimes director Sr. Comr. Krishna Murti named Sri as a key witness. "Sri is a key witness because she in part caused the accusation of Jessica because she threw away crucial evidence," Otto said.
During a hearing in September, prosecutors asked Jessica why she threw away her pants after Mirna died. Jessica said her pants ripped when she got in Mirna's husband Arief Soemarko's car while they brought Mirna to Abdi Waluyo hospital in Central Jakarta.
"I realized that my pants had ripped when I came home from hospital. I asked my maid to throw away those pants," Jessica said. (bbn)
