he Bogor Police have arrested two former students of Budi Mulia High School, Bogor, who allegedly took part in a gladiator-like fight that resulted in the death of Hilarius Christian Event Raharjo, 17, in January last year.
The suspect, identified as BF, was arrested in his grandmother's house in Yogyakarta while another suspect, RK, was apprehended in Bandung, West Java, wartakota.tribunnews.com reported on Thursday.
BF was an alleged rival of Hilarius during the fight, while RK was a referee.
The police were still looking for another perpetrator as previously they had named three suspects in this case.
The case resurfaced after the mother of Hilarius, Maria Agnes, shared her story on Facebook on Sept.12 asking President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to help her seek justice for her son’s death.
Maria’s story which grabbed nationwide attention was followed by the police’s move to perform an autopsy of Hilarius' body.
The police found an ‘abnormality’ on Hilarius' body which was allegedly caused by the attack. (cal)
