ctress Sissy Priscillia’s younger sister, Vanesha, has become a new teen idol following her success portraying a character named Milea in teen flick Dilan 1990.
Not wanting fame to ruin Vanesha’s life, Sissy reminded her little sister about the importance of preserving her privacy and the potential dangers of social media platforms.
Sissy, who also rose to fame after appearing in teen flick Ada Apa Dengan Cinta (What’s Up With Cinta) back in the early 2000s, reminded Vanessa that life had become harder for teen idols in today’s inter-connected society.
“I told her that back in my day, there was no social media. So, as an actress, I could live a relatively normal life,” Sissy said as quoted by tempo.co.
“But now, people can be so evil on social media and none of us really has any privacy any more,” she added.
Sissy said she hoped Vanesha would be able to handle any gossip about her on social media. She wants Vanesha to pick her interactions carefully.
“She does not have to respond to anyone she does not know in person,” Sissy said.
