tate-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) has introduced digital airport lounges to replace information counters at airports under its management.
“The digital lounge represents the airport digital journey experience in all airports under AP II management,” AP II president director Muhammad Awaluddin said in a statement received on Tuesday, adding that the lounge was equipped with personnel to assist passengers.
The airport digital journey experience is a program of the corporation to facilitate travelers and other airport users, Awaluddin said, adding that the implementation of the program would be adjusted to the characteristics of each airport.
Services available at the digital lounge include information services, a self-check-in counter, virtual assistant through chat bot, co-working space, digital way-finding, travel and accommodation reservation and official airport merchandise stores.
“Due to the availability of co-working space, apart from being an information center, the airport digital lounge is also a solution for passengers who want to hold business meetings or just want space to work,” he said.
The airport digital lounge was officiated by State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno and Transportation Minister Budi Karya Soemadi on Aug. 11. (bbn)
