he Indonesian Embassy in Kuwait held a business road show and an Indonesian Labor Market (ILM) to promote and increase the sending of formal and professional workers to the Middle East country.
Indonesia’s charge d’affaires in Kuwait City, Gantosori Tanjung, said the ILM was a venue for Kuwaiti companies and agencies to network with Indonesian migrant worker placement companies (P3MI).
“The ILM is a promotional event showcasing the quality and quantity of Indonesian migrant workers,” he added. “We hope we can net more professional Indonesians to work in Kuwait.”
Meanwhile, Manpower Ministry spokesman Soes Hindharno said there were plenty of employment opportunities in Kuwait especially in the hospitality, manufacturing, transportation, construction and automotive sectors. “There are only some 7,000 Indonesian workers in Kuwait,” he said.
