Legendary Indonesian rock band Slank has promised to go all out for its 35th anniversary concert at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Dec. 23.
“[We have prepared] a really cool concept for the concert on Dec. 23. And since Dec. 22 is Mother’s day, we will collaborate with a female guest star,” Slank drummer Bimbim told kompas.com recently.
The concert, Bimbim underlined, would be a tribute to all mothers in Indonesia.
“Because no matter how fast we move, if we dont have our mother’s blessings, we will eventually tumble,” he explained.
Taking it up a notch, Bimbim even promised that the band’s show would be better than the recent Guns n’ Roses’ concert in Jakarta in November.
“The stage, the lighting, will be better than Guns n’ Roses,” said Bimbim.
Tickets are available online with prices ranging from Rp 75,000 (US$5) for the seating area to Rp 225,000 for the standing area.
