Prabowo cancels appearance in Pangkal Pinang because of flu
The campaign team said Prabowo would visit the province if he was elected.

residential candidate Prabowo Subianto cancelled his appearance at a campaign event at Pasir Putih Square in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung, on Thursday.
The Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno ticket’s campaign team spokesman, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, spoke on Prabowo's behalf at the event.
“Bapak Prabowo could not be here because he has the flu. It’s not serious. Pray that he will recover soon,” Hashim told an audience at Pasir Putih square on Thursday, kompas.co reported.
He said that Prabowo would visit Bangka Belitung and greet residents if he was elected.
Gerindra Party Bangka Belitung chapter head Erzaldi Rosman said that doctors had checked Prabowo’s health earlier in the morning.
“Bapak Prabowo really wanted to greet the people of Bangka Belitung. Pray that he will recover soon,” Erzaldi told the audience.
He told the campaign team members not be disheartened and urged them to maintain their commitment to helping Prabowo win the presidential race. (ami)
