After a massive glitch, Bank Mandiri says ‘everything is back to normal’

Bank Mandiri customers woke up on Saturday morning in panic as they found out the balance in their bank account had shrunk or mysteriously disappeared. Some other customers reported that their balance was up. It turned out it was a nationwide incident as customers took to social media to complain to the state-owned lender. Later in the afternoon, in an official statement, Bank Mandiri corporate secretary Rohan Hafas apologized for the glitch and ensured that everything had returned to normal including Mandiri online services, such as internet banking, SMS banking, ATM and Electronic Data Capture services. “Once again we apologize for the inconvenience. Now our service has returned to normal and we will always protect our customers' account security,” he said.
