The Health Ministry announced 2,277 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 123,503.

According to data released by the ministry on Saturday, 65 more people have died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 5,658.

The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 79,306.

The capital city recorded 686 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 25,287. Meanwhile, East Java reported 429 new cases, West Java 240, South Sulawesi 107, North Sumatra 101 and Central Java 88.  

The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (kmt)
