ltra Mikro Holding (UMi), consisting of BRI, state pawnshop PT Pegadaian and Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), constantly innovates and creates initiatives to accelerate Indonesia's economic growth. This time, UMi launched a work culture program called Brigade Madani at BRILian Stadium, Jakarta, on Friday.
The program was officiated by BRI president director Sunarso, Pegadaian president director Kuswiyoto and PNM president director Arief Mulyadi. As part of a strategy to realize UMi's success in ensuring the expansion, empowerment, growth and democratization of Indonesia's economy, they aim for an efficient culture or collective behavior to reach established goals by establishing a culture activation through cultural synergy programs such as Brigade Madani.
Sunarso said UMi aligned with BRI's vision to become "the most valuable banking group of Southeast Asia and champion of financial inclusion". BRI's growth strategy moving forward, he added, was promoting existing customers to upgrade systematically and broadening its customer base by discovering new growth sources.
"With the establishment of UMi and the culture activation program Brigade Madani, we can promote the growth of the democratic economy and encourage our MSME [micro, small and medium enterprise] customers to develop," Arief added.
Brigade Madani is an acronym for BRI, Gade (Pegadaian) and Madani (Permodalan Nasional Madani). Its purpose is to internalize akhlak (morality) core values, accelerate business target achievements and strategic initiatives, and fortify the resilience of MSMEs. There is also hope to accelerate financial inclusion, with a projection that UMi would serve 55 million customers in 2024.
Sunarso added that the three entities had already prepared four main strategies, including accelerating the Senyum colocation, revising the business process at PNM and Pegadaian, increasing the use of the Senyum mobile app and upscaling the capabilities of over 75,000 BRI, PNM and Pegadaian employees. Brigade Madani reflects the staff movement within the holding in upholding sustainable work performance while also growing and strengthening the economy.
As of Friday, PNM has delivered a total of Rp 115 trillion (US$8 billion) to fund 11.4 million PNM Mekaar customers. PNM has over 3,673 offices across Indonesia.
