our international airlines from China, India and the United Arab Emirates will add more flights to Bali to cater to growing demand of tourists visiting the Island of the Gods.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport general manager Handy Heryudhitiawan said on Wednesday that the additional flights will be a great drive for Bali to attract more foreign tourists, as Kompas reported.

One of the four will be China-based Xiamen Air, which has applied for additional flights starting on Dec. 1, 2023. Meanwhile, Etihad Airways, Vistara and IndiGo have submitted applications for additional flights starting in early 2024.

"This is evidence that the market in Bali is still strong, as there are also several airlines planning to change their aircraft types to larger sizes," Handy said.
