he success of the first collaboration between Starbucks and LINE FRIENDS, a global character brand, inspired the two brands to re-collaborate in producing limited edition merchandize to celebrate Earth Month across the Asia Pacific region.
Focusing on BROWN, with the earth planet enjoying a cup of Starbucks® coffee, the merchandize collection covers lifestyle accessories and tumblers that can be reused. The tumbler is made in partnership with MiiR, a beverage accessory company dedicated to sustainable change.
Customers can also join BROWN in their planet-positive journey by participating in four social media challenges meant to inspire people to take small steps to make our planet a better place. Additionally, customers have an opportunity to win various attractive gifts from Starbucks® Rewards.
“The second collaboration between Starbucks and LINE FRIENDS in producing merchandise represents our shared aspiration to create a meaningful experience in our environment,” said Starbuck Asia Pacific’ product and marketing vice president Erin Silvoy.
“This campaign aims to realize the shared vision of the two brands to transform many things for the sake of humankind and the planet,” he said.
“Following the success of the first collaboration, called Starbucks® X LINE FRIENDS, we are thrilled to present April’s limited edition of BROWN, coinciding with the celebration of Earth Month in Asia Pacific,” said LINE FRIENDS.
“We hope that we can inspire people to do small sustainable things in their daily lives via a fun social media challenge, in tandem with beloved BROWN.”
This limited edition of the merchandise, comprised of a notebook and a MiiR tumbler, have been available since April 1 under the purchase-with-purchase program, special for Starbucks® Rewards members in Indonesia.
The merchandize collection is also available starting April 22 in selected Starbucks® outlets in the larger Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.
