oday, Andalin announced its collaboration with the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) in digital integration for sea freight full container load (FCL) services for association members. In the first stage of this collaboration, the integration will be implemented in ALFI Regional Representative Councils (DPW) in Jakarta and West Java.
As a digitally-based company in international logistics, Andalin understands how digital platforms can support the industry to reach its fullest potential. “Andalin and ALFI collaborate by integrating our platforms to facilitate international logistics. Andalin acts as a
service provider for sea freight FCL while ALFI is the platform owner who serves its members
who need the service,” said Andalin CEO Rifki Pratomo.
By using the potential of digital platforms, thousands of ALFI members will be able to find sea freight services to increase efficiency in export-import shipments. This digital integration between Andalin and the ALFI-owned platform is the first breakthrough in Indonesia’s supply chain industry.
“This collaboration enables us to strengthen the supply chain industry ecosystem in Indonesia
through digital integration. We believe that our integration with ALFI can be the important first step in boosting Indonesia’s position in international trade,” added Rifki.
From ALFI’s side, this collaboration is seen as an opportunity to assist the growth of its member’s businesses. Starting from today, ALFI members can visit its new DPW websites and find a suitable sea freight service from Andalin on the platform. This integration is a new added benefit for forwarders in Indonesia who want to affiliate with ALFI.
“We are confident that we can accelerate the growth of international logistics in Indonesia by optimizing the digital platform. Through this platform integration with Andalin, we can provide better support for our members in developing their businesses. This integration is the first step in building an international logistics digital ecosystem in Indonesia.” said vice chairman of ALFI Trismawan Sanjaya at the inauguration ceremony in Jakarta.
Also attending the event were chairman of DPW ALFI Jakarta, Adil Karim and the Chairman of DPW ALFI West Java, M Nuh Nasution.
In 2020, the Indonesian freight and logistics market was valued at US$81.3 billion and is expected to reach $138.04 billion by 2026, according to market research firm Reportlinker. Andalin and ALFI’s partnership will hopefully be a deciding factor in the advancement of international logistics in Indonesia.
