hose wanting to see a total lunar eclipse may want to schedule a visit to Plaza Teater in Jakarta Planetarium and Observatory, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on Jan. 31.
According to kompas.com, the Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency has teamed up with the management of Taman Ismail Marzuki to host a general public observation.
Tinia Budiati, the agency’s head, said the event is slated to run from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.

The lunar eclipse observation is free of charge. However, moongazers are required to register online from the planetarium's website prior to the event.
Online registration is scheduled to open on Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. until Jan. 31 at 9 a.m. Those who have registered will get priority, giving them a greater opportunity to observe the lunar eclipse.
However, the event is likely to be cancelled if it is cloudy or raining. (jes/asw)
