Tickets for the Si Doel The Movie premiere reportedly were sold out in many theaters across Greater Jakarta, as well as other regions.
Si Doel The Movie had a successful premiere on Thursday.
According to a statement by production house Falcon Pictures, tickets for the premiere were sold out in many theaters across Greater Jakarta, as well as other regions like Banjarmasin in South Kalimantan and Palu in Central Sulawesi.
It also tweeted on Friday that the movie had sold 134,000 tickets that day.

"Thank God, I've heard the good news. We all feel relieved since we were quite nervous these past few days prior to the premiere," said director Rano Karno who also plays the main role of Si Doel, as quoted by kompas.com.
"We are very happy and this is a tremendous [accomplishment] for us. Hopefully this is an indication that the film will [do well] in the box office," he added. (saz/kes)
