The official trailer for Si Doel the Movie, the film adaptation of a renowned 1990s soap opera, has been released.

Scheduled to be screened on Aug. 2, the film tells the story of a complicated love triangle involving Doel (Rano Karno), Sarah (Cornelia Agatha) and Zaenab (Maudy Koesnaedi).

Set 14 years after the soap opera, after Sarah flies to the Netherlands, leaving Doel behind in Indonesia, Si Doel the Movie shows that Doel has married Zaenab. She then asks his brother Hans (Adam Jagwani) to reunite Doel with their son Dul (Rey Bong).

The trailer also shows Doel’s mother Enyak (Aminah) and Mandra (Mandra). (wir/kes)
