EDAN: North Sumatra Police have conducted investigations of the Technical and Flight Safety Academy (ATKP) authorities in Medan, in relation to alleged acts of violence within the campus that ended in the death of 17-year-old pilot student Hendra Syahputra, on Aug. 15. North Sumatra Police chief Insp. Gen. Badrodin Haiti said police had taken statements from five witnesses: ATKP director Bambang Wijaya Putra, three of his subordinates and the victim's father, Isnanto.
Isnanto was a key witness in the incident because he was the first to receive Hendra's remains from ATKP. However, Isnanto declined to comment as was still in shock over his son's death.
Police will also take statements from other witnesses from ATKP at the provincial police headquarters on Tuesday, Badrodin said.
