ANDUNG: Dozens of houses collapsed after being hit by wild winds in Bandung, West Java, local residents and officials said Tuesday.
No fatalities were reported after the disaster hit Katapang and Pameungpeuk districts. However, more than two people suffered minor injuries.
Sudarsono, 42, a resident of Paledang Indah, Katapang district, said the wild winds lasted for 30 minutes amid heavy downfall on Monday afternoon.
"In Pameungpeuk district at least 245 houses were reportedly damaged, and in Katapang at least 120 houses sustained medium to minor damage with dozens of them flattened," he said.
