span class="caption" style="width: 298px;">JP/Ricky YudhistiraBANDUNG: Celebrity lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea is officially a doctor, now he has earned a PhD from the School of Law of Padjadjaran University, Bandung, West Java, on Tuesday.

Hotman, who is also known as a bankruptcy lawyer, successfully defended his thesis titled Bankruptcy based on Guaranteed Bond issued by Special Purpose Vehicles Abroad and Guaranteed by Indonesian Companies, Kompas.com reported.

The 52-year-old lawyer thanked Prof. Djuhaendah Hasan for his help on the thesis.

Several celebrities, including duet Anang and Ashanty, Dhani Ahmad, Manohara, Cut Tari, as well as politician Prabowo Subianto attended the dissertation examination.

Hotman, who graduated from Parahyangan University’s Law School, also obtained his master degrees from the University of Technology, Sydney, and Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta. — JP
