Jakarta Police says it will investigate allegations that a member of Kaskus, the largest Internet forum in Indonesia, swindled other users of Rp 5.3 billion (US$580,000) through a bogus investment scheme.
“I will refer this case to the Jakarta Police cybercrimes unit,” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Baharudin Djafar told The Jakarta Post on Tuesday.
Baharudin said the cybercrimes unit could investigate the allegations, whether or not they could be categorized as criminal offenses.

Kaskus members should be more cautious. With huge numbers of users, Kaskus is a magnet for scammers.
Use it at your own risk.
