“I was in Pyeongchang during winter and I really enjoyed my time there because the city is very clean, including the air.
The Koreans also impressed me a lot since they were very polite and respected older people. You can tell from their language.
It was non-stop filming and I didn’t have much time to travel around to see the other parts of the country. I would love to do that sometime in the future with friends or family.
I recall a memorable scene taken in Pyeongchang in which I had to do some skiing along the slope of the snowy hilly area. I was so scared and nervous since I had never done it before so I decided to do half of the route.
My coach said that it would be easier for someone to learn to ski if they could roller skate, and fortunately I could. Donning ski gear for the first time, I made it through without falling.
After shooting some scenes for the sinetron [soap opera] in South Korea a few months ago, there was no rest or even a holiday for me at all. This situation really drained my energy.
My temperature was up and I had to get IV fluid, take some vitamin C and eat good food for a week to get my fitness back.
Due to my tight schedule, I barely had a chance to work out, while during my free time, I usually went to the gym five times a week to keep my body in shape and stay healthy. In between this heavy timetable, I choose not to do exercise for while for fear that it would make me more exhausted or get sick.
As for the food, I was quite strict on my diet and limited my daily intake because I am the kind of woman who tends to gain weight easily.
For my daily intake now, I usually have red rice or mashed potato and avoid eating greasy deep-fried food. I only eat rice once a day and have lots of fruits.
But then again, now it all depends on the situation. With all the workload these days, I don’t really stick to my diet anymore.
I have the meal served on the set since I need more power to get through my days. If there is a point where I become really tired, I grab something sweet or just drink a glass of sweet tea to bring back my energy.”
