I wish there was no more sectarian violence in Indonesia.

Let us live in peace, and in a society where different beliefs and opinions are respected.

It is an indication that the police and the intelligence institutions are very weak.

If both institutions cooperate closely and coordinate regularly, they would have enough time to halt such violence.

There are regional intelligence offices in every region in Indonesia.

In areas such as Aceh, Poso, Ketapang, Papua and Bima, where violence had occurred, they should have coordinated a quick response.

This requires regular meetings and coordination, which would have provided first-hand information about security conditions in their respective regions.

They say they have particular moral beliefs, but then behave in a way that shows otherwise. What hypocritical maggots!

President SBY is still singing the song of “harmony”. Let’s see if the rule of law is applied here.

How many will go to jail, and for how long?

My thinking is that the police will say they have no witnesses, and nobody will be charged.

We have just finished Idul Fitri and thought we were all brothers and sisters. We are all Muslims,
but the fanatics still kill and burn others.

They do not comprehend their own religion. It is an absolute disgrace.

The government has been too soft on these lawless fanatics.

Radical groups have acted in similar ways against other religions - by burning and killing.

I guess someone didn’t get President Barack Obama’s memo about Indonesia being tolerant.

The East Java Police chief should certainly be removed for incompetence, regardless of how much he paid to get the job.

The National Police remains an object of derision in the world for its corruption and incompetence.

Killing of Shia followers

Two Shia followers were left dead following the latest sectarian violence involving Shia community members and an anti-Shia group in Sampang regency in Madura, East Java, on Sunday. Why can’t the police stop such brutal actions?
