Comment: Shooting compels entertainment changes

The recent Connecticut school shooting rampage has compelled Hollywood to air disclaimers before violent television shows, swap some programs for others, cancel film openings and present somber specials on daytime TV shows that are usually more focused on entertainment.

In addition, several news specials were aired that discussed Friday’s killing of 27 people, mostly children, in Newtown, Conn., by a gunman who later took his own life.

Your comments:

Americans are always puzzled when innocent people are killed in their country. I’m no expert
on this issue, but my two-cents: People in the US simply copy what the US government has been doing for decades: settling differences through the barrel of guns, invading and killing innocent people in Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and soon Iran.
