Jambi Police have arrested two drug dealers in separate operations on Tuesday.

Jambi Police'€™s narcotics unit director Sr.Comr.Irawan David Syah said that the two drug dealers '€“ Ardiansyah, 32, and Dadang, 30 '€“ were both former convicts.

Dadang was apprehended at the Taman Jaksa area, Telanaipura district, Jambi City, on Tuesday.

'€œWe confiscated around half an ounce of marijuana from the suspect,'€ said Irawan on Wednesday.

Dadang'€™s arrest led to the arrest of Ardiansyah.

'€œHe (Ardiansyah) was apprehended near Tugu Pers, Murni sub-district, Telanaipura district on the same day. On the suspect we found around one kilogram of hashish and Rp 914,000 (US$93.6) in cash,'€ said Irawan.

Irawan said that the two suspects would be brought to justice under Law No.35/2009 on narcotics. (nai/ebf)
