A

hacker, Wildan Yani Ashari, could face 10 months' imprisonment after the Jember Prosecutor's Office charged him of hacking President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's personal website.

"The defendant has been charged with criminal activity with the use of a computer and electronic devices to hack into security systems," chief prosecutor Lusiana said as quoted by tempo.co in Jember, East Java, on Tuesday.

Lusiana added that Wildan faced only a light punishment due to several reasons, one of them being the fact that the defendant had not previously been convicted for any other crime.

"There has also been a request from the National Police that the defendant's talent be used for a more positive purpose in the future," Lusiana said.
