T

op-ranked Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia beat Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto 21-10, 21-12 on Sunday to win the World Superseries Finals for a record fourth time.

In the women's singles, Chinese Olympic gold medalist Li Xuerui also enjoyed an easy victory, defeating surprise finalist Tai Tzu-ying of Taiwan 21-8, 21-14 in just over 30 minutes to defend the title she won last year.

Lee had little trouble vanquishing Sugiarto at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium to regain the title he won for three consecutive years from 2008-2010. The Malaysian player dominated both sets, leading Sugiarto 18-3 at one point in the first set and 14-5 in the second.

China's Li, the world No. 1, has beaten Tai in all four of their encounters over the past two years.
