eading Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) conglomerate Siam Cement Group (SCG) has introduced its latest building material product lines including SCG Smartblock and SCG Portland Cement at dealers' luncheons, themed 'SCG Family', in greater Jakarta and Bandung.
SCG Smartblock is a lightweight concrete block capable of reducing heat ten times more than common concrete blocks, saving up to 30 percent energy.
The second product, SCG Portland Cement, is suitable for use in strengthening structures. The products will be available on the market in April and will be joined by other additions to the product line.
'Through our 100 years of operations, SCG has acquired a wealth of experience in developing building materials. Today we have a wide range of building materials and a booming market across ASEAN, in line with our vision to become a sustainable leader in the region. Indonesia is one of the strategic countries our company is focusing on,' Nantapong Chantrakul, SCG Indonesia country director, said in an official release Monday.
