ndonesian Movement Association (PPI) spokesman Ma'mun Murod saidPresident Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's leadership of the Democratic Party was theparty's biggest failure.
Ma'mun cited the party's waning electability rate, which is currently 4.7 percent according to the latest survey, was evidence for his statement.
'This has been the poorest electability rate since the party was established,' he said on Tuesday as quoted by tempo.co.
He said under Subur Budhisantoso's leadership, the party could garner 7 percent of the vote. This number quadrupled during Budi Utomo's leadership, when it reached more than 20 percent. In fact, under Anas Urbaningrum's leadership in which some of its top officials were arrested for graft, the party still received an electability rating of 11 to 12 percent.
He suggested the party organize a special congress to tell SBY to take responsibility for this matter. He went further and said SBY should consider resigning and hand over the chairmanship to someone more capable.
The PPI is a organization loyal to Anas.
