Veteran comedian Indrodjojo 'Indro Warkop' Kusumonegoro says he is surprised but happy to have the chance to work with girl band Cherrybelle in their latest movie, Crush, directed by Rizal Mantovani.
'I don't know why I was offered the role, but when I read the script I found something special and agreed to play in it,' he said as quoted by tempo.co.
Indro said it was initially a little awkward working with the girls, but eventually they learned to communicate well.
'They're such fun. They said they were inspired by Warkop [legendary comedy group Warkop DKI], and they're so polite,' he said.
Besides discussing the movie, he said the band members talked about a lot of other things with him, including comedy and show business in Indonesia.
'They're just like my children,' he said.
