container full ofacid was thrown at the general manager of Bungo TV, Erben, while he driving acar in Bungo Regency on Monday night.

Erben was rushed to Hanafie Regional General Hospital for treatment.

'€œThe acid was thrown in Erben'€™s face. I hope his eyes are ok,'€ Ririn, Erben'€™s wife said on Tuesday.

No information regarding the motive behind the assault was available.

'€œHe is in good hands right now,'€ Hospital director Saparudin said.

Bungo Journalist Association head Hudori said he expected the local police to take this crime very seriously.

Commenting on this, Bungo Police deputy chief Comr. Romi Agusriansyah said the police had been informed and a team had been deployed to pursue the assailant. (dic)
