ublicly listed Adira Dinamika Multi Finance, a subsidiary of Bank Danamon, has targeted to disburse more than Rp 10 trillion (US$880 million) in financing in the second quarter (Q2) of this year thanks to Ramadhan.
Adira Finance director Hafid Hadeli said new bookings for automotive vehicles, both four-wheeled and two-wheeled, normally jumped approaching the Idul Fitri holiday. The end of the upcoming second quarter will mark the beginning of the Ramadhan holy month.
'We estimate that the disbursement of financing throughout the second quarter will exceed Rp 10 trillion,' Hafid said on Thursday, as quoted by kontan.co.id.
'The demand trend for financing approaching the Idul Fitri holiday has been like that year after year. It's always higher than in previous months,' he added.
Until the end of this year, Adira Finance targeted to channel a total of Rp 38 trillion in financing. Up to the first quarter of this year, Adira Finance's new bookings topped Rp 8 trillion. That was a 15 percent increase from the same period last year and already 22 percent to 23 percent of this year's total target.
