The political dynasty of disgraced Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah suffered a major blow on Tuesday after the Home Ministry decided to suspend her from her post only hours after Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutors opened their graft case against her.

To add insult to injury, angry protesters outside the Jakarta Corruption Court hurled invectives at Atut when she arrived at the court, sparking clashes between the protesters and her supporters.

At last, but why is she smiling? Already made another deal or knows too much?

With something rather heavy I hope. Seems like all accused corruptors keep on smiling. They must know something that we don'€™t.

And this woman has the effrontery to wear a headscarf and long dress, pretending to be a good Muslim. People like her give religion a bad name, when in fact it is not the religion but people who distort it (and this applies to all religions).

We have a Religious Affairs Ministry but the minister and everybody else think their job is just to sit pretty and rob the nation. This should be one of their jobs, to safeguard the integrity and sanctity of their religion and bring pride and honor to a great religion.

Anybody accused of a crime should be prevented from displaying anything that identifies or associates them with any religion. For Muslims, this would mean males cannot wear a songkok [traditional hat], or females a hijab.

Just some cloth. Who believes that piety and religion are woven into it?
