The National Police is set to track down the people seen in a video supporting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), also known as ISIS, which was uploaded onto YouTube. 

National Police spokesman Ronny F. Sompie said Thursday that police officers and personnel from the National Police's counterterrorism unit, Densus 88, would trace all the people in the video.

Ronny said police aimed to arrest one of the men in the video, who was dressed in black and whom Ronny identified as B, as part of their investigation to determine his relationship to a Poso-based terror network, which is suspected of having links to ISIL, having declared support for the extremist organization.

'€œNow we can proceed with finding B, along with the other people who were with [him in the video]. If it turns out that they are hiding him, they will be regarded as having committed a criminal offense,'€ Ronny said as quoted by kompas.com on Thursday.

Previously, a man dressed in black and wearing a black turban, accompanied by three armed Indonesians, were viewed in the ISIL video on YouTube, inviting Indonesian Muslims to join the battle for an Islamic Caliphate.

National Police chief Gen. Sutarman had previously determined that the man in black had the initial B, and claimed that he was a member of the Poso terrorist network led by Santoso alias Abu Wardah.

Terrorism expert Ridlwan Habib said the real name of man who in the video called himself Abu Muhammad al-Indonesi, was Bahrumsyah.

'€œHis name is Bahrumsyah. He took the  name Abu Muhammad from his son, Muhammad Fairuz,'€ Ridlwan said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Tuesday. (put)
