In the women's pair final, Chelsea Corputty and Wa Ode Fitri Rahmanjani covered the 2,000 meter distance in 8:28.13 minutes to finish in fourth place. Zhang Min and Miao Tian won the race, 15 seconds ahead of Jeon Seo-yeong and Kim Seo-hee of South Korea while Kazakhstan's Yekaterina Artemyeva and Viktoriya Chepikova were in third, 17 seconds behind the winners.

Passing the 500m mark, however, they began to flag and Iran overtook them, with China and Vietnam fighting closely for front place. In the final 500 m, Thailand accelerated to overtake Indonesia near the finish line.

Korea fought back in the women's singles sculls, thanks to Kim Ye-ji, who held off Hong Kong's Lee Ka Man to reach the finish line well ahead of her rival. Huyen Thanh Ta of Vietnam followed in third place.
