our comments on the rainy season that has hit its peak in Jakarta and its surrounding cities as flooding started to affect many parts of the city, causing severe traffic congestion.

To minimize the impact of floods Jakarta has to coordinate with the administrations in its surrounding cities. Don'€™t blame the residents because they just don'€™t know where to throw the trash.

Maybe President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo can do a lot for although he is now the President and not the governor he still lives in Jakarta.

And even as president he still conducts blusukan (impromptu visits) and with his '€œmental revolution'€ he can change the mentality of the residents instantly, but the mentality of his surroundings comes first.

Good luck Mr. President because as the president you have the power and can do a lot to overcome the persistent flooding in this beloved city.

To minimize the impact of the annual floods local residents and the city administration have to provide information and communicate via the mass media to update what'€™s happening on roads and everywhere.
