he Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW) has urged the government-sanctioned team tasked with selecting the next batch of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) commissioners to not select candidates who have problems at home.
'Please don't select candidates who are promiscuous or polygamous, or anyone who has family problems,' ICW activist Febri Hendri said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
He said that such personal problems could compromise the integrity of future KPK commissioners and impact their work.
The team announced on Saturday the names of 194 candidates who could contest the second stage of the selection.
Among the candidates who passed the first round on Friday were former Constitutional Court chief justice Jimly Asshidiqie, Judicial Commission commissioner Imam Anshori Saleh, United Development Party (PPP) politician Ahmad Yani, Papua Police chief Insp. Gen. Yotje Mende, Acting KPK commissioner Johan Budi as well as KPK prosecutor Yudi Kristiana.
