The KPK leader selection committee said here on Monday that the committee would measure the 48 candidates' personality and intelligence through a series of tests over the next two days. These tests included a personality test, simulation, group discussion, interview and a paper presentation.
'Through a series of tests over the next two days, we will measure intelligence potential and its structure, the working system, work potential, social relations, personality and integrity of the candidates,' spokesperson for the nine-member selection committee Betti Alisjahbana said as quoted by Antara news agency.
She said that the tests were aimed at measuring a candidates' managerial competence, a core capacity required to lead the commission.
'In organizing the tests, the selection committee cooperated with relevant institutions, including psychology assessors, management assessors and law assessors,' she said.
Betti also said that the selection committee, in cooperation with relevant institutions such as the KPK, the National Police, the State Intelligence Agency, the Attorney General's Office and civil society groups, would check into the candidates' track records.
The tight selection process is expected to produce the best candidates to lead the commission.
The 48 participants consist of nine prosecutors, police and judges, eight academics, six executives, five people from the KPK, four auditors and five civil servants. (rms)(+++)
