what'€™s in your bag?: Essentials of a Beauty Queen

Grace Walia couldn'€™t imagine how her life would change after she won the Miss India Indonesia contest in 2015. As the winner, she has had a busy schedule, filled with interviews and photoshoots '€“ and representing Indonesia at the worldwide Miss India contest '€“ so Grace says it'€™s important to feel confi dent and comfortable at all times. Becoming Miss India Indonesia has taught Grace to hold on to some everyday essentials so she can live each day productively. Here'€™s what'€™s in her bag.

Wallet

You should never go out of the house without your Id or a little money. I always make sure I have cash, just in case I get very hungry or decide to take public transport.

Earphones

I never leave without my earphones or headphones with me. I love to listen to music and I need something to entertain myself while I'€™m in vehicles and stuck in traffic '€“  especially when you live in a busy city like Jakarta.

Make-Up Bag

My daily activities as a titleholder include media coverage, where picture taking is a must. Make-up has become my daily routine, whether I like it or not. The things that I always carry in a small cute pouch include concealer; eyeliner; mascara; bronzer; an eye-shadow pallet; three lipsticks in shades of pink, red, and nude; a small mirror and brushes.

Lotion

It is surprisingly easy to feel like you have dry skin, so having body lotion with you is always a relief '€“ not just for your skin but for your comfort.

Water

It is very important to stay hydrated so that you don'€™t run out of energy. I always have a bottle of water with me.

Day-Job Essential

For me, it'€™s my sash that says '€œMiss India Indonesia 2015'€. For others, it could be a portfolio, a CV, a notebook or a laptop.
