he global project to raise business integrity and compliance capacities, Alliance for Integrity, has officially launched in Indonesia, aiming to increase the active involvement of all relevant stakeholders in the field of corruption prevention in the private sector.
Deputy director of the Alliance for Integrity, Kirsten Lorscheid, said the project, initiated by the German Federal Economic Cooperation and Development Ministry and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), would continue to build up its network in Indonesia.
"Upcoming activities of the Alliance for Integrity in Indonesia include but are not limited to capacity-building programs on compliance, including train-the-trainer approaches, peer-to-peer exchanges, awareness-raising activities, as well as the facilitation of public-private dialogue," Kirsten said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Prior to this launch, the Alliance for Integrity had organized an Integrity Week in May in Jakarta, including a joint workshop with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Indonesia for Corruption Eradication Commission personnel on the prevention of corruption in the private sector.
Furthermore, the Alliance for Integrity piloted its training program called DUKU (from companies to companies), for larger companies as well as Indonesian small and medium-sized enterprises.
Being currently active in Brazil, Ghana and India, the Alliance for Integrity used the occasion of the launch to present itself to various stakeholders in Indonesia. (ags)
