he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and Manpower Ministry have implemented National Working Competency Standards (SKKNI) for anticorruption trainers amid overwhelming demand for training from institutions across the archipelago.
KPK graft prevention deputy head Pahala Nainggolan said the commission had received at least 50 invitations in the last week from various institutions, including private companies, to deliver an awareness campaign regarding anticorruption affairs.
However, the number of available trainers in the antigraft body is small, he added.
"With the SKKNI certification, everyone can now become trainers," he said on Thursday at the KPK in Jakarta.
Pahala said as a preliminary step, the KPK had established the Anticorruption Learning Center (ACLC), which serves to certify trainers.
He predicted that around 600 inspectorate offices were in need of trainers. "We expect that in the next two years, the trainers will be present in all provinces," he said.
Manpower Minister M. Hanif Dhakiri said the move was also aimed at improving the anticorruption mentality of the public in carrying out their duties.
"It can strengthen the integrity of people. The presence of those trainers will expedite our efforts to build an anticorruption system," he said. (fac/jun)
