Guess what?: World-class stage set for BCL concert

B

etter known as an actress over the years, Bunga Citra Lestari, or simply known by her initials BCL, will return to the stage for her first concert as a singer.

“I’m in the entertainment industry because I’ve always wanted to be a singer and I want the public to see me as a singer, not the characters of the films I’ve been in,” BCL said in a recent press briefing.

To mark her 10 years in the music industry, BCL will hold a solo concert titled “It’s Me BCL” on March 1 to encapsulate her long journey in her career and personal life while reestablishing her singing career.

She started her singing career in late 2006 with the single “Sunny”, which appeared on the soundtrack of Cinta Pertama (First Love) — her big screen debut. She has sold millions of albums and is considered among the country’s young divas.

To be held at Plenary Hall, the Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Central Jakarta, the concert will be directed by world-class company The Squared Division.

The Los Angeles-based company has worked  with global artists including Taylor Swift, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Kylie Minogue, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Jessie J. and James Blunt.
