he Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU Jakarta) announced on Wednesday that it had procured and distributed all the materials for the Feb. 15 gubernatorial election.
"We have finished procuring and distributing ballot papers, ink, templates for visually impaired voters and stickers for ballot boxes to all areas in Jakarta," KPU Jakarta head Sumarno said on Wednesday.
He said the KPU Jakarta had printed 7,292,619 ballot papers for the election and had distributed 1,120,216 papers to KPU North Jakarta; 1,634,980 to KPU South Jakarta and 2,058,332 to KPU East Jakarta.
KPU Central Jakarta has received 766,439 ballots; KPU West Jakarta has received 1,694,785 pieces while KPU Thousand Islands 17,867.
KPU Jakarta has also procured 26,046 bottles of ink, 578 stickers for ballot boxes in subdistricts and 13,023 templates for the visually impaired.
Meanwhile, there will be 1,237 polling stations in Central Jakarta, 2,150 in North Jakarta, 2,934 in West Jakarta, 2,937 in South Jakarta, 3,690 in East Jakarta and 39 in Thousand Islands.
