"We have stationed 4,600 personnel, from the Istiqlal Mosque to the court building," Central Jakarta Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Suyudi Ario Seto said before the rally on Friday.
"We will also close the surrounding roads. Areas around the State Palace will also be cleared. The crowd [of protestors] will be directed toward Pecenongan and then straight to the court," he said.
The court is scheduled on May 9 to read its verdict against Ahok, who once stated that the blasphemy case had been orchestrated. (dea)
