View all search resultshe East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency reported that three people died in a fire that razed a housing area in North Cipinang Besar in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Monday morning.
“There are a total of six people declared missing, three of them have been found dead,” said the agency’s communication department head Ade Kusumadiri, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Ade said the firefighters were still extinguishing the fire in the location.
The agency received a fire report at 4:15 a.m. and directly deployed 11 fire trucks to the location on Jl. Cipinang Pulo, comprising neighborhood unit (RT) 11 and 12.
The residential area is located behind the Cipinang Penitentiary. The agency is still probing the cause of the fire. (wnd/wit)
