he Jakarta Police have deployed 1,000 personnel to assist in the land acquisition process carried out by the South Jakarta District Attorney on Jl. Abdul Rochim in West Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday.
"The personnel were deployed to safeguard the process," said Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono on Monday, as quoted by kompas.com.
He said that the district attorney's office issued a warrant last week allowing them to remove squatters from the area.
"Around 100 squatters, three tents and three vehicles were on the land," Argo said. (kuk/wit)
