The official websites of the Attorney General's Office and Press Council were hacked on Wednesday morning.

A day before Pancasila Day, hackers defaced www.kejaksaan.go.id and www.dewanpers.co.id. Visitors of the websites were greeted with messages on the national motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity).

On the AGO website was a picture of Harley Quinn with the message, "We were all Indonesian until... Race disconnected us. Religion separated us. Politics divided us."

AGO spokesperson Muhammad Rum confirmed that the websites were hacked.

“We are trying to fix it,” Rum said on Wednesday morning, as quoted by kompas.com.

On the Press Council's website, visitors were welcomed with "Gugur Bunga," a national song honoring deceased heroes.

“Yes, the website was hacked [and] defaced with certain messages. We are fixing it,” Press Council member Nezar Patria said on Wednesday. (hol)
