Wedding rings are probably the must-have symbol of love, but renowned Indonesian kebaya blouse designer Anne Avantie finally has hers 25 years after getting married.
Anne, who just launched her second Kekaseh collection for The Palace jewelry house on Friday in Jakarta, said she married her husband Yoseph Henry Susilo without any wedding cake or ring.
“My wedding ring was actually given to me 25 years after our wedding,” said Anne.
The couple celebrated their 25th anniversary and renewed their vows in September last year with their children and grandchildren.
“We placed the wedding ring we received from The Palace at the altar in our home, next to our bible and written messages of love from our children and grandchildren,” she said
Anne is one of three renowned designers who launched their wedding ring designs on Friday as part of the Jakarta Wedding festival, which runs until Aug. 27 at the Jakarta Convention Center.
The other two designers are Sebastian Gunawan for Frank & co and Tex Saverio for the Miss Mondial jewelry houses.
