atahillah Square in Kota Tua, West Jakarta, will be equipped with a large 8x5-meter screen so that people can watch the total lunar eclipse on Wednesday.
Kota Tua zone management unit head Novriado Setio Husodo said he would prepare binoculars and the big screen, which will be installed on the pillars of the Jakarta History Museum, popularly known as the Fatahillah Museum.
“We have prepared three binoculars from the Abuyahya Observatory, a member of the astronomy community. One binocular will be connected to a big screen, so visitors can see the eclipse,” Novriadi said on Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com
For those who want to see the eclipse using the binoculars, Kota Tua requires registration via WhatsApp on +62 815 992 9011. So far, 30 people have registered.
He added that the management would install the screen tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on the weather. (wnd)
